petitie voor de heropening van het theatermuseum
Een museum als gebouw*, waarin mensen samenkomen om ons veelzijdige theatercultuur te overzien: experimenteel toneel (zo vanzelfsprekend als dat er hier bij hoort, dat heb je niet in Londen of New York) en klassiek toneel, vaak naar het heden vertaald, bravo! Opera met gedurfde regies en daartegenover de musical, waarbij men zich veilig voelt en tegenwoordig hoogtij voor het grote musical publiek. Dan nog al die conferenciers of cabaretiers, hoe ze ook maar willen heten, die onze maatschappij onder de loep nemen, zoveel als bij ons vind je nergens in Europa.
Er is geen ander land als Nederland, waar tijdens de pandemie zo hard is doorgewerkt, zonder te verdienen, opdat, als de lockdown even verdween, er metéén weer theater werd aangeboden. Tot de volgende lockdown zich aandiende: zonder morren weer wachten tot het weer mocht en steeds stoelen met anderhalve meter afstand, dus rijk worden was er niet bij.
Nederland verdient een museum voor ons theater.

Present exhibition
XR TheaterMuseum at the PARADE will show the historic exhibition design by Hendricus Theodorus Wijdeveld and the first two exhibition spaces with objects by Edward Gordon Craig and Adolphe Appia, both considered among the most important stage designers at the time.
Room #3 is a preview of the APOCALYPSE by Felix de Rooy and objects from future exhibitions currently in development.
